Why Do We Partner with Corporations?

From receiving in-kind donations in food and beverage for our volunteers to being able to give us the ability to donate funds to local LGBTQIA+ non profits, there are many reasons why a partnership with corporations leads to the overall benefit and increased visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community.

How it Works

• With 70% of partners returning, the first round of communication begins with many of them reaching out to us first.
• The Partnerships team thoroughly researches the company to check their history with the LGBTQIA+ community. Most come to us with a deck already prepared with this information.
• NYC Pride uses the HRC Corporate Equality Index to measure our partners on corporate policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.
• The Partnerships Manager discusses the sponsorship program and how the two can be mutually supportive of each other. A decision is made and partnership is executed throughout the calendar year.

• Employs 20 queer people each year at NYC Pride
• Employs 50+ queer performers each year
• Production of FREE events such as Family Movie Night and Youth Pride
• Large in-kind donations to NYC Pride such as PR assistance, food/beverages and more.
• Annually contracts 11+ small businesses
