Heritage of Pride is committed to recruiting dedicated, reliable volunteers to assist in the production and execution of New York City’s annual Pride events. Though volunteers need not identify as LGBTQIA+, it is imperative that all volunteers be LGBTQIA+ affirming and support the ongoing struggle for full equality. Through training and support, Heritage of Pride aims to empower volunteers and encourage their ongoing participation in the organization’s annual planning.

Join NYC Pride Membership!

Heritage of Pride, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization rooted in volunteer membership. Anyone can attend our committee meetings throughout the year and learn how events are planned many months in advance. If you attend enough meetings, you can become a HOP member (it's free!).

The requirements to become a member of Heritage of Pride are as follows:

• Complete at least 10 volunteer hours
• Be an active member of at least one committee by attending 2 of the committee's last 5 meetings
• Attend at least one other meeting of a different committee
• Attend at least one General Membership meeting in October through March and another in April through September
• Participate once per year in a Community Service project or volunteer event

Once you've met the requirements, you can be nominated and confirmed to join NYC Pride Membership!
