New York, NY, May 3, 2023 – NYC Pride has announced Award-winning global superstar Christina Aguilera as this year’s Pride Island headliner. The annual LGBTQIA+ dance party and fundraiser takes place at Brooklyn Army Terminal on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Christina Aguilera is a seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter renowned for her powerful voice and hit songs. Throughout her career, she has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. Aguilera has achieved five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the third female artist, and fourth overall, to top the chart over three consecutive decades (1990s, 2000s, and 2010s). In 2021 she received the inaugural Music Icon Award at the People’s Choice Awards, followed by the Spirit of Hope Award at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Advocate for Change Award at the 2023 GLAAD Media Awards.
“I couldn’t be more excited to headline NYC Pride’s iconic Pride Island,” said Aguilera. “I’m always ready to celebrate the strength and resilience of all the individual members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies by dedicating this performance to our combined power when we act and work in solidarity.”
Other marquee talent at this year’s Pride Island includes Billboard #1 Remixer and Indie Music award nominee Guy Scheiman (Tel Aviv) featuring dance music sensation Karina Kay, and the New York City debut of resident DJ at Forever Tel Aviv Mor Avrahmi (Tel Aviv).
The Brooklyn Army Terminal (BAT) is a modern industrial campus powered by the rich legacy of the South Brooklyn waterfront. NYCEDC has worked to transform BAT into a modern manufacturing and jobs hub. The four million square foot campus is home to over 100 businesses and over 4,000 jobs. BAT is the premier affordable hub for modern industrial businesses, entrepreneurs and working families in NYC. The campus has completed renovations to open the historic property to the public and increase the community’s connectivity to the Sunset Park waterfront. BAT hosts a variety of programs, including arts and cultural events, to bring tenants and the community together.
